Is there an essay section on the current GMAT?

No. The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) has been entirely removed from the GMAT Focus Edition to streamline the testing experience and focus purely on reasoning and data interpretation skills.

Can I skip questions or go back to change my answers?

You must answer every question to proceed, so you cannot skip. However, the Focus Edition allows you to bookmark questions as you go. At the end of each section, you can review your responses and change up to three answers per section.

How long are GMAT scores valid for admissions?

GMAT scores are valid for exactly five years from your testing appointment date. You may also request to have your scores sent to programs at no additional fee during a designated window around your test day.

Are calculators allowed during the exam?

An on-screen calculator is provided specifically for the Data Insights section. However, calculators are strictly prohibited during the Quantitative Reasoning section, meaning you must rely on mental math and scratchpad calculations.
